Learning about perspective

10.02.2013:

Today I did some gestures, a lot of perspective exercises and some clothing studies. Especially in case of the perspective exercises I learned a lot :3

I tried to do some drawings from life, but my boyfriend was moving all the time, so here is the first appearance of FAT JO :D Maybe he learned from it and will hold still the next time :P The drawing in the bottom left of the first page looks much more like him...got only his lips wrong^^

Little Mermaid

06.02.2013:

Kept working on the mermaid piece and started to put colors in to check if the values work. Used the gradient map for it. Found out that the values doesn't work. So back to value studies.

After that I needed a little break from it, so I started to paint a face from my mind. Started directly in color and like it really much :3

Studies and imaginative work

4.02.2013:

I fell ill over the weekend, so no drawings or paintings done then :/
I'm not really fit now, but motivated enough to do at least a little bit :3

First of a photo study, concentration on getting the shapes, positions and proportions right. Also no
color picking.

This one could have been a great exercise, but I wasn't in the right mind for it :/ Will do it again. Right.

Wanted to do some direct paintings. So I choose main color and hopped right in :3 Used only 3 brushes, two of them are basic brushes. Like the mood of it.
