World Design

29.01.2015:

Hi guys! I personally really like to design buildings, characters, etc. Simple verything you need to define a world. But (for now at least) I don't have any ideas for stories which might take place in it. That said I always gave up really soon. Until I realised just recently that you can happily focus on designing worlds and people are still interested in it. =)

I'm sure that was obvious to a lot of people but I didn't have a clue beforehand. So here some sketches for the home of one of the shown characters and different takes on the characters silhouettes. Enjoy!

Lots of sketches

13.11.2013:

Today is a very exciting day. Because I finally finished my first sketchbook! My whole life i always drew on loose papers only, so having started a real sketchbook in December 2012 I'm glad to announce that after nearly a year I have filled it completely :D
The last sketch is already the first page of my new one. This being Din A4. So I'm really excited working twice as big as usual.

Final Design

31.10.2013:

Hi guys,

here the final design for my client. Next to me was another possible artist he checked out for his game and in the end he went with him. Because they were both living in the same city and therefor could meet in person and didn't have issues time zone wise. Which is totally understandable for me, I would have done the same!

Also I have a lot of respect for him, because he offered this paid for art test. Unfortunately there are not many people out there who do so.

It still was a fun experience, especially since I haven't designed any animal like characters yet. I have still a lot to learn and look forward to new exciting challenges! :)

Berserker - Promotional Art

09.08.2013:

One of the promotional art pieces for Pyrrhic Studios. Painted them a bit more realistic then the original characters, but kept the strong lines and cell shading for consistency.

Buttons

11.05.2013:

Here a first idea for a button design I tossed away instantly, because he want's half-transparent buttons. Also the icons on the buttons should be the main focus, so I went for a more simplified design. In the second image you see some analysis of already existing buttons looked at in current mobile games. And also the first concepts for Javier and some sketches =D
